The Story of Colorado Grown
Colorado Grown is located in the beautiful meadows on Cottonwood Creek, west of Buena Vista, Colorado. It seves as a distribution center on the 277-acre development, Cottonwood Meadows, which has at its core, a community supported agriculture (CSA) farm project.
The entities, and how they are related are as follows:
The Cottonwood Meadows- the development which has graciously donated 66 acres of farmland and water rights to local food production.
Guidestone - the nonprofit organization which holds title to the farm acerage and water rights for local food production.
Weathvane Farm - a CSA vegetable operation which also produces eggs from pastured, reared laying hens, to serve local farmers markets.
Cottonwood Creek Dairy - a raw milk microdairy providing raw milk products, housed on the 66 acres of donated farmland.
Colorado Grown - the distribution center which serves as a local farm store, selling the products you see on this website to valley residents.
How we all came together.
This is a fascinating story, to be completed at a later time!
